Stay informed about the latest developments and changes in Self-Directed Services.

Exciting Updates: Streamlined Enrollment and Pay Rate Changes Coming Soon!

Acumen will be rolling out a new electronic enrollment system this summer. This system is intended to streamline our SDS processes and make enrollment and rate of pay changes more efficient. We have determined the most widely used rates and made them all available. This change will lead to a few EORs needing to update their pay rate at the start of the next plan of care year. The new rates will take effect June 1, 2025. 
 
If you are new to SDS and your case manager submits your SDS referral form on or after June 1, you will need to select one of the updated rates.
 
Rate changes requested in the middle of a plan of care year can lead to a delay in HTS clock-ins and pay. This has been an ongoing issue our team and Acumen have worked diligently to resolve. When rate of pay changes coincide with the start of a new plan, our data shows the issues do not occur. To eliminate this barrier, rate of pay changes will need to be requested at the start of the new plan of care. Mid-year rate changes will no longer be approved effective June 1.

Q: Where can I find the EOR training modules?

A: You can find the EOR training modules by visiting Acumen's website. Navigate to the Employer Training Modules. You will find the link to the training in the drop-down menu.

Q: How can I quickly reference a specific section of the training modules?

A: In the training modules, you can click on the lesson number in the table of contents to go directly to that lesson. This feature allows you to quickly reference specific sections without scrolling through the entire document. 

Q: Who can I contact if I have questions or feedback about the newsletter?

A: You can provide suggestions by clicking on the "Share Your Thoughts" button under "Voices of the Community."
